This design was inspired by a 70′s-style Photoshop tutorial from Digital Arts. I’m happy with how it turned out, but I decided it is a little too busy to make it the permanent theme of my site. It was a fun experiment, mostly to challenge myself to build out the design, but I don’t believe it’s a very practical website design.
The inset text (Ryan Domingue) on the home page is pure HTML and CSS. I especially like the page titles, with their creative sub-titles. The Portfolio page features old-school Macs created from this Photoshop tutorial. My love of Photoshop’s noise filter is plain to see in this design, just as it was in “Design 5″.
And, yes, that is me in the bow-tie. :)
